How do I get to the KHCL?
From the Boni Mrt station, take a jeepney bound for Kalentong or Stop and Shop. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Mandaluyong City Hall Compound. The library is on the second floor of the Kaban ng Hiyas Building.

If you will be coming from somewhere else, then try to find a way to get to Kalentong, Stop and Shop or the Boni MRT station. Then follow the instructions above.
How do I search for a book?
We are currently working on our Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC). For the meantime, you can use our card catalog, or ask help from our staff.
Can I take books out?
Currently, only novels are allowed to be taken out for a maximum period of one week. A photocopy of a valid ID needs to provided for reference.
How much is the fee for using the internet services?
None. The internet service is for free. However, only a maximum of 30 minutes of usage is allowed per person.
Do you have photocopying services? How much is the charge?
Yes, we do have photocopying services. The charge is a peso and fifty (P1.50) per page.
Can I download music or videos?
No. Users are not allowed to download music, programs, program updates, video files, photographs, or movies.
Can I visit facebook using the internet terminals?
No. The terminals are not to be used for online social networks, chatrooms, games and/or casino sites, and pornography sites. Also, bookmarking of specific web sites is not allowed.
What are your office hours?
The library is open to the public from 8:00 to 12:00 in the morning and from 1:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon, Monday to Saturday. However, the Internet Section is open only from Monday to Friday.
Who can use the library?
The library is open to the public. A valid ID is required upon entrance, and library users should log-in on the logbook found at the entrance. Please bear in mind that non-library business is prohibited inside the premises.
How do I borrow a book for room use?
You need to fill out a request slip and present it at the counter. A maximum of two books at a time can be borrowed.
Can I bring snacks inside the library?
Unfortunately, no. Eating, smoking, littering, talking aloud & loitering is strictly prohibited inside the library.
How much does it cost to have documents printed?
For regular black and white documents, the charge is two pesos (P2.00) per page. For colored text, the charge is three pesos (P3) per page. For a document with a small picture, the charge is five pesos (P5). For a document with a large picture, the charge is ten pesos(P10).
Can I plug in my usb flash drive on one of the internet terminals?
No. USB flash drives or any removable storage medium is not allowed to be connected to the computers.
Do you have wifi? Where do I get the password?
